Each paper (oral or poster) appearing in the ICPR 2012 technical program must be presented by an author at the conference. Please also see the IAPR Statement of Ethics and IAPR Ethical Requirements for Authors on

Oral Presentations

Each paper in an oral session is allocated 20 minutes. This includes time required for introduction of the speaker, as well as time for questions from the audience. Therefore authors are advised to prepare a 16-minute talk, and leave 3 minites for questions at the end.

 

Each lecture room will be equipped with a computer and a data projector. All speakers are kindly asked to copy their presentation on the computer in each lecture room. Also speakers are allowed to use their own computer. Please connect their own laptop to the VGA cable before their session timeblock.

 

 

Poster Presentations

posterEach paper in a poster session will be provided with a board that can hold a poster up to 100 cm (width) x 180 cm (height) in portrait (vertical) format. Adhesive material will be provided for mounting the posters to the boards. A presenting author is expected to be available in front of the poster for the entire duration of the poster session.

 

Note that we do not offer any printing service for poster presentations. Please bring your poster to the conference.

 

Poster Shotgun Session: (Important) All posters will be allocated a brief presentation (30 seconds) preceding the poster session. One of the authors for each paper need to prepare slides for a paper and attend to the poster shotgun session. The corresponding author is asked to submit the presentation file to us in advance.

Monday, November 12

9:00 - 13:50 Authors of the posters on Poster Session MoPAT6 place their
posters on boards.
Posters are available for general viewing all through the day.

13:50 - 14:00 Poster Shotgun Session preparation. The authors form a line.

14:00 - 14:30 The authors make a presentation on Poster Shotgun Session
MoPSAT{1/2}.

14:30 - 16:50 Poster Session MoPAT6 (the authors must be present).

16:50 - 18:00 The authors remove posters from boards.

Tue.-Thu, November 13-15

8:00 - 8:20 Authors of the posters on Session {Tu/We/Th}P{A/B}T6 place
their posters on boards. Posters are available for general viewing all through the day.

8:20 - 8:30 Poster Shotgun Session preparation. The authors form a line.

8:30 - 9:00 The authors of the poster on the AM Poster Session
{Tu/We/Th}PAT6 make a presentation on Poster Shodgun Session
{Tu/We/Th}PSAT{1/2}.

9:00 - 11:20 Poster Session {Tu/We/Th}PAT6 (the authors must be present).

11:20 - 13:50
(Only for authors of posters on AM Poster Session {Tu/We/Th}PAT6)
If you cannot take down the poster for AM session after 16:50
because of your flight schedule and so on, you can remove the poster on the board in this time slot.

(Only for authors of posters for PM poster session {Tu/We/Th}PBT6)
If you cannot put up the poster for PM session until 8:30 because of your flight schedule and so on, you can place the poster on the board in this time slot.

13:50 - 14:00 Poster Shotgun Session preparation. The authors form a line.

14:00 - 14:30 The authors of the poster on the PM poster session make a
presentation on Poster Shotgun Session {Tu/We/Th}PSBT{1/2}.

14:30 - 16:50 Poster Session {Tu/We/Th}PBT6 (the authors must be present).

16:50 - 18:00 The authors of the posters for each day remove posters from
boards.

The boards are marked such as "AT1.1", "AT2.1", "BT1.1", and "BT2.1".
The mark indicates the later parts of the poster shotgun session numbers
that are shown in technical program.
For example, on Tuesday, the board marked as "A1-1" is for the poster
"TuPSAT1.1".
The authors are required to place the poster appropriate place.

The authors are also required to be present in the Poster Shotgun hall
at least 10 min before the session starts.
The session chair and/or an ICPR2012 volunteer will give the authors further
guidelines regarding lining and presentation.

 

Instruction for the submission

* File upload: (Important) Note that your submission is handled via PaperCept management system. You have received a message with the direct link to upload the file.

* File format: Microsoft PowerPoint (.ppt, .pptx), Adobe PDF (.pdf), Movie (.wmv, .mpg)
NOTICE: If you want to use movies, you MUST embed them into the PowerPoint slides. If you want to use multiple slides, embeded movies, and animation effects, you MUST set AUTO-RUN so that your presentation finishes within 30 seconds without any PC operation.

* File name: your poster ID + * + ext (e.g. TuPSAT1.1.ppt, TuPSAT1.1.a.wmv)

* Maximum file size: 6MB in total

* Deadline: October 31, 2012
NOTICE: For the posters the the presentation file of which is not submitted by the deadline, we prepare a slide describing only the title and authors and it is not allowed to replace it afterward.

 

ICPR 2012 Policy for No-Shows

ICPR2012 reserves the right to exclude a paper from distribution after the conference (e.g., removal from IEEE Xplore) if the paper is not presented at the technical meeting. In particular, a paper accepted for the ICPR 2012 technical program will not be published on IEEE Xplore if its authors or a proxy do not present the paper at the Conference.
